Summary: The upcoming release of The Four stands to be NinnWorx’s most ambitious film to date. Renee Perez, one of the stars of The Four, talks about the movie, about doing her own stunts and about fucking a guy on film for the first time.
TS: The Four is to be released shortly. I’ve watched the trailer and it looks most impressive. What are your lasting impressions of the movie?
RP: It looks great and it was so much fun shooting, but I’ll never forget walking the black panther. That's something not everyone gets a chance to do in their lifetime.
TS: Could you describe your particular character?
RP: I play the "Archer." She's a warrior whose specialty is the bow-n-arrow.
TS: How easy or difficult was it to play her?
RP: That was interesting. . . I had never shot a bow-n-arrow before. It's supposed to hurt if you don't know what you’re doing. Let me just say I broke 3 nails shooting the arrows, but they got the shots they wanted.
TS: What were some of the challenges a movie of this magnitude presents over other adult movies?
RP: I would have to say that showing the emotions of a warrior and not trying to look porn or look sexy while shooting the fight scenes.
TS: Did you learn anything about yourself that you didn’t know before?
RP: I found that I have a knack for stunt work. They complimented me on how quick I picked up the fight sequences. I also learned that I like working with animals.
TS: In one scene, from what I understand, you walked a couple of panthers, what was that like?
RP: When it came to walking the panther, I thought I would be scared but when they were in front of me it was like playing with a big cat. They were such beautiful animals.
TS: Talk about some of the other stunts you did. Which was the most fun?
RP: I loved working with the stunt crew. I had the best time just learning how to work with swords, daggers and the bow-n-arrow.
TS: What is it like to work for Michael Ninn?
RP: Michael is an amazing person and a joy to work with. He always makes sure the girls come first.
TS: You seem to have carved out a niche as sort of the “go to” woman for Michael. That is, you can fulfill almost any role or perform almost any task necessary to complete a film. What accomplishments are you most proud of in your time with NinnWorx?
RP: I feel that Michael and I work well together. I would have to be most proud of The Four. This movie is like nothing I’ve ever done before. The graphics and the production that went into this movie would blow your mind. I often found myself thinking WOW!!! All this for a porn? But this isn't just a porn- this is a story in history, being told through the eyes of a highly artistic director.
TS: Some are critical of Michael Ninn’s movies because of his artistic focus. Yet, The Four is set to be perhaps the biggest release of his career. Do you think this film will change critics’ perceptions of him as an adult filmmaker?
RP: I'm not really sure it would change their perception of him but it will allow people to see his artistic creation at its best. He wrote all the music as well and when it’s all put together it’s really beautifully orchestrated.
TS: What effect do you think this movie will have on the adult industry as a whole?
RP: I think it will show the adult world there are no limits to Erotic Videos and you sometimes have to think outside of the box if you want to create a product that people will remember for many years to come.
TS: In The Four, you are doing a guy on film for the first time. What was that like?
RP: It was a little weird just because the crew kept looking at me differently. It was weirder for them than me. They're used to seeing me grope on girls or playing with a girl rather than a man. I think by the time we got to having sex I had an audience. I think there were something like 20 people on set watching. That’s crew, press and talent just chilling. So yeah I was nervous.
TS: The guy’s name was Jared and it was his first professional sex scene. What can you tell me about him?
RP: Jared is my boyfriend; we've been dating for 5 years now. He's been a trooper about the whole thing and recently we just shot a threesome with myself, Alexis Love and Jared. I think he feels lucky.
TS: You were Penthouse Pet of the Month for November 2005. What was that experience like?
RP: I like Penthouse a lot. Being a pet has helped me with my social abilities as well as how to portray myself as a professional businesswoman and model/talent in this industry.
TS: Just recently, you were the grand prize for the Porn Star Dating Game. The show was done in a similar fashion to the old television show called the Dating Game. Who was the winner and what did you do on the date?
RP: Harris was the lucky winner. He was an older man but we still had fun. We went to dinner at "The Republic" in Los Angeles and then spent the rest of the evening at the Van Nuys Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Club. I bought him a few dances then bought us a couples’ private dance. The smile left on his face was priceless.
TS: I read that you are an avid snowboarding, hiking, and football enthusiast.
RP: I actually just got back from Tahoe. I moved up there for the snowboarding season. The snow was awesome the end of January and early February but then just got icy and sucked.
TS: Do you prefer college or pro football and who is/are your favorite team(s)?
RP: I actually prefer pro football and I don't have a favorite team. I come from a big family, I grew up watching all the teams. Plus, Las Vegas doesn't have a home team.
TS: I read that you are a trained violinist. Do you still play or perform live?
RP: After I graduated I've never really just played the violin for someone. It's always just been my family or closest friends. Truthfully I haven't played in a few months. I broke a string a few months back and haven't taken my violin in to have it replaced. I think when I do bring it in I’ll buy an electric Violin. Thanks for the reminder!
TS: What are you working on currently?
RP: As of right now I'm shooting for my website (ReneePerezOnline.Com), which I own and shoot all the exclusive content. I'm still Feature Dancing 2-3 weekends a month for Spearmint Rhino. I resume filming again in August. So I have a very busy schedule but that's life.
